Tactile Vision

Is a conceptual macro photography project that deliberately subverts the optical perfection of a modern lens using extreme diopters, transforming the documentation of physical matter into an exploration of visual failure, where the resulting aberrations and disrupted focus become co-authors of a surreal, tactile new reality.

In this project, the camera functions not as an observer, but as a physical intruder. By combining a surgical macro lens with an aggressive +10 diopter, I force the optical system to its breaking point. The resulting images exist in a state of tension between hyper-reality and complete collapse. The center of the frame offers an almost painful, microscopic intimacy, while the edges dissolve into chromatic aberrations and swirling chaos. Tactile Vision captures the exact moment when the tool fails to document nature objectively, instead sculpting a fragile, alien landscape where seeing is replaced by touching.
